SHOT SELECTION TIPS

Shot selection and head building can be challenging, especially when players are not on the green. However, making good decisions in this area can often be the key difference between winning and losing.

To effectively approach these scenarios, there are three key steps to follow:

  1. Assess the advantages of your current situation and how they can work in your favour.
Consider the potential disadvantages or risks of your current situation and how they may impact your shot selection.
Identify four possible shots you could play, in order of preference. If there are not four viable options, challenge yourself to think creatively and outside the box.
  2. Practice the above scenario on the green, a simulation singles game can be helpful to practice the challenging aspects of shot selection.
