THBC: What does your average day at work look like?
- Stocktake and fill up all the bars
- Ensure storerooms or fridges are not overloaded
- Order stock as required
- Take delivery of goods and supplies
- Unload goods and scan or check them against order forms
- Rotate stock
- Manage Stock Rooms
- Manage the Keg room – keg changing
- Keep the beer lines nice and clean
During this shut down period I have been helping Doug and Murray with Club maintenance.
THBC: Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Ballarat, Victoria.
THBC: Why did you move to the Gold Coast
I came for a holiday visiting my brother and friends, and I did not want to go back to the cold. I moved in 2005.
THBC: What are your hobbies?
Since I was a kid, I always loved fixing things and needed to understand how they worked. Nowadays, I especially love maintaining my Holden Commodore HSV XU6. I also love watching car racing in any forms – live or on TV. I am intrigued and amazed by the Ancient Egyptian Architecture and Ancient Roman history. I have watched a lot of documentaries, but there is nothing better than to see them firsthand. Last year I was lucky enough to visit Rome, I was just amazed by how they built the colosseum, the Roman forum and the Palatine Hill. However, Egyptian Pyramids are still an enigma, and I cannot wait to visit the Great Pyramids of Giza as they are some of the most intriguing manmade structures in history.
THBC: What is your favourite meal from Tweed Heads Bowls Club?
I love Roast Pork; I order it nearly every day. I also really enjoy Erin’s gourmet pies.
THBC: Where did you travel overseas?
I have been to France a couple of times as my partner is French (that’s you!!!). She is from the South of France, a town called Toulouse. We visited South West of France, Barcelona, Paris and Rome as well.
We were supposed to go this May to visit the family and Ireland; however, due to COVID-19, we had to cancel our trip.
